Edge Gen AI ITS Camera at PM Modi Summit

A landmark moment for Made-in-India AI: Recon demonstrated inside the NVIDIA pavilion as the Hon'ble Prime Minister toured the summit.

A landmark moment for Made-in-India AI

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 was more than a conference; it was a declaration that India is ready to lead in AI. Held at Bharat Mandapam from 16–20 February, it brought world leaders, technology founders and hundreds of thousands of visitors around the idea of “AI for All.”

For us at Stellarview, it was the moment our vision came full circle.

The moment that changed everything

Inside the NVIDIA Innovation Pavilion, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi stopped at our pod. There we showcased Recon, the world's first Edge Gen AI-powered ITS camera with Global Shutter technology, designed and manufactured entirely in India.

As the Prime Minister engaged with startups and technology leaders demonstrating indigenous AI, our team showed how Recon is transforming highways and smart cities. His framing of “AI for All” and “Create in India” resonates with what we build: technology for Indian roads, made by Indians, for India and the world.

Why Recon matters

The challenge we solved

India's roads are unlike any other. Traffic mixes 18-wheelers with two-wheelers, handwritten plates with standardised ones, wildly different speeds, and lighting that swings from glare to night within hours. Traditional ITS cameras designed for Western corridors simply could not keep up.

The Recon advantage

Recon is not just another traffic camera; it is a complete intelligent transportation stack in a single device:

  • Global Shutter: the full frame is captured at once, so plates stay readable at high speed instead of rolling-shutter distortion
  • Edge AI: all intelligence runs on-device; no cloud dependency for detection, no uplink latency for the decision
  • Made for Indian conditions: models trained on Indian road scenarios, from HSRP and Bharat Series to handwritten, EV green and defence plates, across Indian vehicle classes
  • Integrated applications: ANPR, ATCC and VSDS on the same Made-in-India hardware and software stack

Summit spotlight

The recognition put Stellarview in national coverage, including Firstpost, The Indian Express Daily Briefing and PressReader, with attention on India's AI innovation for road safety.

People, planet, progress

The summit was organised around three principles. Our work maps to each:

  • People: speed enforcement and traffic management that reduce preventable harm on Indian highways
  • Planet: edge processing means less needless video uplink and lower energy use than always-on cloud pipelines
  • Progress: world-class technology created in India, contributing to Viksit Bharat 2047 where innovation and manufacturing move together

From a Pune company to the global stage

Stellarview grew from Adagrad AI's computer vision work. What began as a mission to transform vehicle and traffic monitoring has now been recognised on India's most significant AI platform.

The Prime Minister's visit was validation for every deep-tech builder solving Indian problems, and for the belief that India can lead, not only follow, in AI.

What's next

The summit opened conversations with state highway authorities, smart city programmes and international markets looking for proven, scalable ITS. Our commitment is unchanged: vision-based vehicle analytics that make India's roads smarter, safer and more efficient.
