Can it work with our existing CCTV cameras?

The system requires Recon Global Shutter cameras for AI-based detection. However, EdgeTrack can integrate feeds from existing cameras for monitoring purposes while Recon cameras handle the analytics.

What violations can it detect at city junctions?

Overspeeding, no helmet (rider + pillion), no seatbelt (driver + co-driver), triple riding, wrong direction, wrong lane, and non-standard plates.

How does AI Search work?

Operators type a description in plain language, such as "red car near market junction at 4pm." The Vision Language Model searches across all connected cameras and returns matching results in seconds.

What bandwidth does it need?

Each camera processes locally on the edge. Only metadata, evidence images, and alerts are transmitted to the server, keeping bandwidth requirements low. The system works with standard broadband or 4G connectivity.

How are challans generated?

Violations detected by the camera are reviewed by enforcement officers on the EdgeTrack dashboard. Approved violations are pushed to NIC for automated e-challan generation.

Can it detect incidents like accidents in real time?

Yes. VIDS detects accidents, fire/smoke, fallen objects, stalled vehicles, wrong-direction driving, and poor visibility conditions. Alerts are pushed to the control room within seconds.

Is the data secure?

Yes. The system is STQC certified for security assurance, supports encrypted data transmission, and offers role-based access control on the dashboard.
